Not Just for Airplane Enthusiasts

The Museo del Aire, or the Museum of the Air, is one of the most widely acclaimed aviation museums in the world. Located at the Cuatro Vientos Airport (Spain's first military airfield) on the outskirts of Madrid, the popular attraction not only tells the story of Spain's aviation history but the aviation history of the world as a whole. Over 150 aircraft are on display in total (with another 50 sometimes seen around the complex). Each exhibit provides information both in Spanish and in English. The Museo del Aire is a hit with children and adults alike. It is a hit even with those that are not keen airplane enthusiasts.
