Art Is Forever

Ars longa, vita brevis. Translation: you could either spend your afternoon doing something trifling and apathy inspiring like day-drinking, or you could let your soul be moved by art that will never die. Museo de Bellas Artes will guide you to the latter. In a building that is itself a work of art, you must check out the glass cupola, the discerning eye will pick out fine works by Chilean and international artists. Museo de Bellas Artes has been known to house the temporary exhibitions of such rock stars of modern art as Damian Hirst, Henri-Cartier Bresson, and David Hockney (note: this is actually in a separate museum, the Museum of Modern Art, housed in the same building, but governed by different hours and admission fees). Be sure to check in advance to see what's on display.
