Two Worlds, One Restaurant

Located in one of the oldest parts of Cordoba near the Corredera Square, La Cazuela de la Esparteria serves Andalusian-Arabic cuisine, tapas, and a select list of wines in a unique setting. Downstairs, large groups of locals gather in the country-style tavern for tapas and socializing. Upstairs, the atmosphere and service is more refined, ideal for romantic or special occasion dining. In regards to food, the cuisine is largely seasonal. During the summer, guests can enjoy traditional gazpacho, sweet cod croquettes, or honey-coated pestiño fritters. In winter, the stoves fire up with more substantial dishes like Mozarabic lamb garnished with honey and breadcrumbs; delicate partridge with beans; and hearty wild boar seasoned with crackling herbs. Some of the perennial specialties include artichoke with oxtail, eggplant with salmon, and eggplant casserole.
