Taktika Berri is considered to be the best Basque tavern in Barcelona, and the incessant crowds seem to agree. Here, tapas are called pintxos, with dishes like clams with garlic or omelet with cod, and a classically Basque version of tuna with tomato and olive oil. There is the more restaurant-like seated area of Taktika Berri, but for the true local experience check out the often standing-room-only bar, where hot and fresh tapas go quickly among hungry customers. This is a spot usually packed by natives and off the tourist radar, but if you're up for the experience you will be well rewarded with excellently prepared Basque dishes.
