Designed by Lluís Domènech i Montaner and completed in 1908, the Palau de la Música Catalana is one of the best examples of the Catalan Modernist style. Statues dot the exterior wall of this concert hall, hinting at the flamboyant rooms within. Inside, light streams through intricately formed stained glass, splashing color across brilliant ceramic moldings. The Palau continues to be a landmark in the cultural and social life of Barcelona.
