The Diocesan Museum resides in one of Barcelona's famous landmarks: the Roman wall. Authentically restored, the Diocese Museum displays an incredible collection of religious art and artifacts. The collection is a result of Spanish parishes selling their art, the Museum has amassed a collection (dare we say of biblical proportions) that includes paintings, crosses, sculptures, coins, clothing, and jewelry. On top of being extensive in media, this collection spans a long history, including Romanesque, Gothic, Renaissance, Baroque and Modern periods. Make sure to see the Polinyà murals and the Virgin of Santa Maria de Toudell, among the scores of other beautiful pieces.
