"From Human Wrongs to Human Rights"

Also called the Iziko Slave Lodge, this museum is fittingly housed in one of the oldest buildings in Cape Town. The focus is on the long history of slavery in South Africa, with exhibitions depicting native African, South Asian and Southeast Asians who were enslaved by colonialists over the centuries. An audio-guided tour guide for the permanent collections can be rented for a nominal fee. In addition, there is a revolving selection of special exhibitions that describe numerous subjects on the people of South Africa, describing their culture, arts and history.
