The quiet but firm pride of their history is revealed by the exhibitions at this wonderful museum. The displays of the "old tree" times - stretching back for centuries - hold a place of honor, but there are also exhibitions of the British colonial era, the Japanese occupation and the modern times. Art centered on the natural history of Singapore is also a major feature of the museum. Free tours of the museum are available, but you should make sure to book ahead. The museum also hosts many festivals and film screenings. It's a wonderful museum and well worth the time to visit.
