The largest private museum of its kind in Russia, the Erarta is dedicated to discover, collect, research and popularize works of art created by talented Russian artists.
Their collection includes works by renowned masters and emerging artists, with both a permanent collection and a constantly changing temporary exhibits.
It also offers special events, such as concerts, plays and lectures—so if you're in town, you should swing in and see what's going on, but most of the events, particularly the lectures, are presented in Russian only.. Reservations are required. An audio guide for the permanent collection is available, but groups can also arrange for a 90-minute private tour. The restaurant and shops are wonderful, too.
