Castillo San Felipe del Morro is located in the San Juan National Historic Site and is one of two forts once used to protect the town from attack. The scenic views over the bay and the city from the top of the fort are worth the climb. If you prefer not to walk up the hill from the port, there is a free tram that runs from the waterfront up to the forts.
