Fado is a uniquely Portuguese musical tradition that dates back to the mid-1800's. Known as Portuguese blues, Fado is folk music with notes of nostalgia and unrequited love. The Museo do Fado includes audiovisual presentations and musical archives that give voice to Fado's musical narrative and features recordings and biographical information of the most renown Fado singers and composers.
