Romanesque to Baroque

The Church of São Vicente de Fora was founded around 1147 by the first Portuguese King, Afonso Henriques, and was built in Romanesque style outside the city walls. It quickly became one of the most important monastic foundations in medieval Portugal, and its significance lasted through the following several centuries. Come to admire the many layers of architecture and sculpture work from Romanesque to Baroque, including a magnificent collection of gorgeous tiles.
