Uneasy rests the heads of tourists who haven't taken in enough Portuguese modern art. Centro de Arte Moderna is the cultural balm to this sad malady. In park like grounds, some 10,000 works by the likes of Souza-Cardoso, Almada, Paula Rego, João Cutileiro, Costa Pinheiro, and Vieira da Silva (don't worry these names mean something to somebody) are on tasteful display. The complex itself is a study in clean lines and dramatically proportioned geometric forms with a Henry Moore sculpture in front.
