San Isidro is one of the major business districts of Lima, but there's more to the neighborhood than glossy high-rises. Some intriguing history's on display as well, including the marvelous pre-Incan ruins of Huaca Huallamarca, which may date to 100 B.C. A colonial-era olive orchard composes perhaps the most beautiful part of the city, the bird-rich greenspace of El Olivar Grove Park. The handsome Virgen del Pilar Church and the Colonial Moorish-style Moreyra House form other San Isidro historical highlights. You can also shop till you drop, eat at a wide range of international restaurants, and flit among numerous bars and music clubs.
