Quiet and lovely, Naplo makes a mighty pleasant beach getaway in Pucusana District in Lima's far south. The name actually refers to a bayfront town and a beach (Bahia de Naplo), both. The sandy seashore hugs a handsome little cove, which all things considered offers one of the better sunset vantages in Lima. Besides lounging and swimming off the beach, you can take a short boat ride offshore to goggle at sea lions and Humboldt penguins.
