OK, so there's more to the Larco Museum than racy pre-Columbian artifacts--MUCH more--but those certainly compose some of this long-standing institution's better-known collections. Established by Rafael Larco Hoyle in the 1920s and moved to a Viceroyalty-era mansion in Lima a few decades later, the Larco Museum showcases a spectacular treasury of indigenous Peruvian relics spanning thousands of years and many different cultures, from the Chimu and Chancay to the Nazca and Inca.
