Take the metro to Sognsvann, 15 minutes from central Oslo and walk for five minutes to reach this outlying paradise. The lake's a perfect place to hike, swim, pick berries, picnic, enjoy nature and feel like a different person. Take a circular walk round the lake. There's a little café where you can get waffles before heading back to town.
There are trails suitable for wheelchair users as well as hikers, and the lake and trail are beautiful both in summer and in winter, although obviously a sunny day is best.
