Founded in 1894, the Norwegian Museum of Cultural History (or Norsk Folkemuseum) is Norway's largest museum of cultural history. The collections show how the Norwegian people lived from 1500 to the present.
Perhaps the most impressive part is the Open-Air Museum, which features almost 160 buildings, showing Norwegian life from the Middle Ages to the 20th Century.
