Opened in 1889, Koevet is some of the best Italian food in Amsterdam. Owned by an Italian couple, the food is authentic and spectacular. Service can be a bit slow so enjoy the ambiance of the restaurant, the company of the owners, or the history behind the photos lining the walls. Although not always on the menu unless freshly flown in from Naples, make sure to ask for the burrata because it's out of this world. Authentic, fresh, house-made pastas and ravioli are all sure to please. The desert menu is just as luscious. Try the Prosecco and Limoncello gelato made freshly at your table with a cold bowl and whisk. Limoncello, a fantastic wine selection, and incredibly warm service will all enhance your delicious meal.
