This quaint chapel was constructed in the mid 19th century by Friar Tomas de Villanueva. Originally meant to be a much more grandiose structure, construction was halted and the church's artistry remained minimal. However in the mid 20th century additions were made including a tower, a stone statue of Christ, and a new roof. Later more improvements followed including a reconstruction of the alter and additional stone work to the interior.
