This impressive collection of masks is more than 25 years in the making, and represents the dedication and efforts of Bill LeVasseur. His private collection, on display for your enjoyment and fascination, is made up of more than 500 ceremonial masks from all over Mexico, including remote villages and indigenous groups. The museum includes a Folk Art Gallery, catalogs every piece of its collection, and also carries a stock of authentic masks for sale. If you want to extend your stay, head upstairs to the Casa de la Cuesta, artistically decorated rooms that reflect the ambiance of the museum below.
