The cuisine and design of this refined restaurant on the main floor of the Matilda Hotel can both be described as contemporary Mexican. Moxi is brought to you by world renowned Chef Enrique Olvera, whose Mexico City restaurant, Pujol, is recognized as one of the finest in the world - and you'll find that same reputation followed him here. The plates mix regional ingredient with simple, modern styles and techniques, while the understated, open-air interior feels like a traditional dining area and kitchen. The oversized wicker chairs, crisp white tablecloths, and soft lighting are accentuated by the glowing honey-toned ceramics on the far wall, which catches the natural wood in the high ceiling. The plates almost always include fresh local herbs and fruit, and are served in simple, smooth ceramics.
