Literally translated as "The Necromancer" this comprehensive and cutting-edge art institute welcomes visitors from all over the world to study art and culture in Mexico. This one of the branches of the Bellas Artes, a famous artistic establishment in San Miguel. The venue itself is a work of art and history that dates back to the mid 18th century. Originally built as a convent in 1754, it was used for other purposes once the Reformation began. Since 1962 it has been this educational center and local cultural headquarters, which offers courses and workshops in visual arts, dance, and music along with hosting a number of exhibitions and displays.
