The faculty and students at this new arts school - established just in 2002 - are taking new approaches to art education, research and artistic diffusion with an interdisciplinary approach. The departments include the visual arts (engraving, lithography, photography and cinematography), performing arts (classical and contemporary dance, theater and music), literature and popular culture (including urban art and graffiti).
Located in the main cloister of a former Augustine convent, the atmosphere of the center is a combination of historic beauty and modern, forward-looking artistic talent. The school usually has several exhibitions of student work on display. If you want to see what's new in Mexican art, this is the place to come.
