Beautiful works created by the people of the area are showcased in this house of culture. Established in 1972, the exhibitions provide a sampling of the variety of items - artistic and practical - that have been made over the centuries. Displays include basketry, wool textiles, dolls, ceramics and leatherwork, made for use for nonetheless beautiful in their own right.
The Salamanca area is also known for its wood and stone carving, silverware and bronze. Stained glass and wax Christmas decorations are also shown. The Casa de la Cultura also holds workshops to demonstrate some of the techniques used in these crafts.
