While today we may find it a bit strange to stumble upon a gravesite on public display outside of a cemetery, this particular one is known as the finest example of Gothic architecture in Verona. The Scaligeri family was one of the most influential in the city's history, and their tombs have watched over this part of town since the 13th century.
