Located on the Grand Canal, Ca' Rezzonico is an 18th century palace that has been restored into a pubic museum. The interior of this awesome abode is filled with furniture, artwork, and other relics of past aristocrats’ immense wealth. Venture up to the top floor where 19 rooms of paintings by Pietro Longhi, Francesco Guardi, Giandomenico Tiepolo, and Canaletto (His only two paintings in Venice) create a fusion of art and architecture. Though the rooms are sparsely furnished, a fine collection of Venetian glass and scenic view of the Grand Canal allow modern day visitors to see how the wealthy lived in times past.
