The origin of Chiesa di San Salvatore is legendary. In the 7th century, Bishop Magnus had a dream in which Jesus him to build the church. The current church was built in the 14th century with a facade added in the 1660s by Guiseppe Sardi. The organs within the church are equally legendary because of their size and grandeur. The church also has two paintings by Titian, the "Annunciation" and the "Transfiguration," that should not be missed. Take a peek at the church website before you visit because it offers a detailed history of different "curiosities" as well as itineraries, guided tours and tourist etiquette.
