1000 Years of History

Once you arrive at this church, the elaborate Baroque façade will leave no doubt in your mind that you’ve come to the right square. Although the façade, which was added in the late 17th century, will take much of your attention, the church was actually founded almost one thousand years earlier and dedicated to Moses. It has obviously undergone several renovations since then, but the most recent one, which featured the addition of the striking façade, caused the most controversy. Many people fought to have it torn down, but regardless of whether you find it aesthetically pleasing, it is certainly striking. Take a look around, and, as usual, check out the artwork by famous Venetian painters like Tintoretto.
