Established in 1958 by the Galoppi family, Da Ivo Ristorante (sometimes called “Ivo 1958”) serves a variety of pizzas and Tuscan specialties. A long-time favorite among locals, Da Ivo has a jovial atmosphere that is sure to please groups and families. The pizza is scrumptious of course, but the real attraction here is the Tuscan fare. Try the hearty pan-fried rabbit with artichokes; a spiced, roasted suckling pig; the fresh panzanella salad dressed in olive oil and vinegar; or chianina beef carpaccio with melted Tuscan pecorino cheese. To end the meal in proper Tuscan fashion, order the cantucci e vin santo. It is a dessert served with a plate of almond biscuits, which are dunked and eaten with a glass of sweet wine.
