Set in the beautiful Piazza della Consolata, Caffe Confetteria al Bicerin is a charming historical café. It was founded in 1763 and is famous for its warm, layered drink of melted chocolate, coffee and milk. This lovely café is definitely worth a visit, especially after a walk around the city. Spend an hour at an outside table in the quiet square, while taking in the beautiful sight of the Basilica Santuario della Consolata. Or, enjoy from inside the café’s mirror-lined walls at one of their marble tables. It would be wise to indulge in one of their homemade pastries to accompany your drink. Although it’s slightly hidden away, the historic aura of the café and its excellent drinks are worth the extra steps.
