Look but don't touch

Currently in use as an apartment complex for luxury condos, the magnificent structure of the Teatro di Marcello, mistaken by some first-timers as the Colosseum, was built after Julius César defeated rival Pompy in the power struggle for control of Rome. Intended to surpass the theater of Pompey in both size and splendor, this structure used to be the place of ancient performances, fights, and public gatherings. Note that unless you live here, you are going to have to look at it from the outside, as entry is exclusively for condo owners and ninjas who can pick the lock at the front gate.
