Saintly and Spectacular Catacombs

Although the tomb of St. Sebastian is currently located in the basilica, his original resting place was in the catacombs beneath it. Nearing more than 6 miles long, the hollow, underground tunnels have attracted many devout Christian pilgrims and tourists ever since the site was erected. Located a little ways outside the city center, the Catacombs of San Sebastian are worth the trip! If you find yourself hungry after your excursion here, make sure to check out nearby restaurant Cecilia Metella (Located at Via Appia Antica 125) for a delicious meal.
