Despite Hostaria Costanza’s endearing lack of curb appeal, it doesn’t mess around when it comes to delicious, traditional cuisine; but its less-than-picturesque exterior just means that they’re concentrating on the food (with the added bonus of it not being super well-known). Set amid the ruins of the Theater of Pompey, the menu here is very extensive, the interior design tastefully rustic, and the service efficient and warm. Enjoy dishes like Jewish Artichokes, Seafood Risotto, Fettuccini with Porcini Mushrooms, and wide range of meats and fish. Even though Hostaria Costanza is located around the corner from Campo de Fiori, the bulk of tourists miss is because they don’t know where to look. How unfortunate.
