 Opera, Anyone?

Designed, built and decorated by some of the most illustrious architects and artisans of the Neapolitan world, the structure that houses theGiuseppe Verdi Municipal Theatre in Pisa is truly something to behold.[/font]

The first operatic performance held at the acoustically perfect theater was a presentation of Rigoletto in March 1901. Following an earthquake in the 1980s, the opera house remained closed for more than a decade. Today, the restructured theater presents a lively assortment of live operatic performances throughout the year.
