Palermo's Contemporary Art Museum of Sicily is located in this beautiful palazzo, constructed in the 18th century. These were the end days of the Sicilian Baroque as it progressed towards Neoclassicism. The property of the Prince of Belmonte, this structure and was later passed down to Baron Riso in the 19th century. In 2008, the palazzo became a contemporary art museum, and currently displays work from many artists, including Andrea Di Marco, Alessandro Bazan, Giovanni Anselmo, Emilio Isgrò, and Carla Accardi, just to name a few.
