Frescoes Abound

Housing unique Renaissance sculptures and Baroque paintings, Sant'Anna dei Lombardi is a church and convent dating back to 1411. Visitors pass the Fontana di Monteoliveto, located in front of the church, displaying a bronze statue of Charles II of Spain. The church's many chapels are decorated in detailed frescoes, painted by famous artists, such as Giorgio Vasari's strikingly elaborate sacristy in the anteroom.
