Originally founded in 1888 by an Italian prince, the Museo Civico Gaetano Filangieri lost many of its exhibits and artifacts during WWII. Thankfully, the museum was slowly replenished with the assistance of many private collectors. It reopened in May 2012 and now features works of art and artifacts every bit as historic and diverse as the original collection. Pay a visit to this young again museum to see the labors of artists such as Ribera, Solimena, and Preti.
