Located near San Domenico Maggiore, this chapel boasts works from prominent 18th century Italian artists. Giuseppe Sanmartino's Veiled Christ, placed at the center of the nave, is a shockingly ethereal sculpture of Christ's lifeless body covered by a carefully crafted marble shroud. The thinly placed veil is transparent where it clings to portions of Christ's body, making his features paradoxically more exposed and vulnerable. Beyond the nave, be sure to explore the vault, containing the Baroque Glory of Heaven, and the underground chamber.
