Built at the end of the 15th century, the Palazzo Strozzi was used for centuries as a residence for wealthy Florentines, though the slightly austere façade may not reflect the social status of its former inhabitants. Only time would tell what a structure like this could be used for in the future, but after WWII it realized its potential as a top tier contemporary exhibition space. The Palazzo displays several exhibits every year, each one just as unique and interesting as the last. There's also a nice courtyard in the center of the Palazzo where you can relax and get some coffee during your visit.
