Lavish Rococo Palace

Completed in 1763, the Palazzo Biscari is a well-known Catania palace that was begun by Prince Ignazio V, but completed by later princes. The building is contains hundreds of rooms including a gorgeous ballroom that often hosts special events or conferences today.

Visitors enjoy touring the private apartments and quarters of the palace that feature enchanting frescoes, ebony walls, and stunning design details. The palace contains many archaeological treasures that were once collected by Prince Iganazio V. Even if you don't have time to inspect the interior of the palace, be sure to catch a glimpse of the exterior when you're in the area.
