Every August the city of Bolzano, for one evening only, celebrates the wine of the South Tyrol region. Usually organized to coincide with the "night of the shooting stars," the Calici di Stella, which occurs in towns throughout Italy, is a chance for wine lovers to taste, purchase and learn more about the famous wines of Bolzano, including well-known Lagrein and Santa Maddalena varieties.
Whether you're a wine connoisseur or a new vino enthusiast, make sure you're there to raise a glass. As well as sipping wine, event participants are welcome to browse through local stores that stay open late especially for the festival.
