The topic du jour of the newly hip Dublin culinary scene is the ever esoteric sounding Gastro Pub. That's a pub where you can eat food a bit above passing fair. The Chop House is Dublin 4’s newest Gastropub. Proprietors Kevin Arundel and Jillian Mulcahy have the “aim to provide a relaxed and simple environment in the Dublin 4 locality, where guests can choose to have a drink or sample the wonderful food. We want our customers to leave with a sense that they have been somewhere special and are already looking forward to next time”. The menu offers diversity but the main focus is worked around traditional French cuisine with inspiration also taken from Japan and other parts of Asia.
