Rice Table Indonesian

A highly lauded restaurant named after a funny lizard. What's not to love? The Chameleon restaurant has won many awards including the Beck's sponsored "Best Restaurant in Temple Bar." This restaurant has also been included in the Bridgestone Guide Best Restaurants in Ireland since its opening in 1996. The menu is centered around the idea of a rijst-tafel, "rice table," which is a way of serving Indonesian food, created by the Dutch who colonized the Spice Islands. Instead of serving just one dish, waiters will bring several different smaller dishes to taste while diners rest on seats surrounded by mounds of colorful cushions.
