Laekjarbrekka serves Scandinavian food in a beautifully restored 19th-century house and bakery. The furniture in the restaurant is modern and elegant, but still gives a slight Old World Scandinavian feel, and they have enlarged reproductions of old photos on the wall. The upstairs room with exposed beams is particularly charming. They serve lunch and dinner, with average prices. The seafood and lamb are always safe bet in Iceland, but if you want to taste something different, they offer dried fish and fermented shark.
