Layers of History

The Bavarian State Chancellery serves as the executive office of the Minister-President, the head of Bavarian state government, Bayerische Staatskanzlei is also the name of the building in which that branch of government operates (so don't be surprised if politics-weary locals speak ill of it!) Constructed, 1993 around the central dome of the former Bavarian Army Museum, preserving a building that was in was built in 1905 on top of another historical military spot, the Hofgartenkaserne barracks. Come stroll the grounds here and admire the building, or perhaps watch a nice sunset on a summer's evening.
