Beneath Gothic Spires

This incredible building symbolizes the rich legacy of Europe's history. The first recorded mention of the building was in 1310 and it served as the Munich City Council building until 1847. It's history took a dark twist when Joseph Gobbels centered his speech around the Old Town Hall. This speech led to Kristallnacth. Rebuilt after damage from the war, this Old Town Hall now houses a historic toy museum as well as various ceremonies in its many rooms. From a historic political origin, this Old Town Hall has overcome its dark history with a lighter, childish side.
