Historical Display

The Museum of Work features a fascinating historical view of the last 150 years of the working work and progress through the industrial era. The museum spans enormous indoor areas and the tour extends outdoors through to the Harbor Museum and the Spiecherstadt Museum in the warehouse district.

The museum exhibits offer historical displays of various industries that helped shape Hamburg's history, including shipping and warehousing, printing and binding, and a fascinating display of old bicycles from days gone by. Many displays feature working exhibits that give greater insight into how some of the machinery was operated.
