Rotating Masterpieces

The Bucerius Kunst Forum is a fairly small private art gallery, named for its founders, a family of press barons, and very centrally situated next to the Rathaus.

The gallery presents themed exhibitions, usually four per year, interpreting visual art from antiquity onwards from a modern perspective. The gallery is well-resourced and so it's able to present some of the world's greatest artistic masterpieces in a new light. The exhibitions are complemented by concerts, films and talks on the same theme.

It's well worth checking the schedule. Note that the admission charge is reduced on Mondays.
