The CBGB’s of Berlin, SO36 was founded in 1978, at the time it was just another punk club lost in the crowd. Over time however, it has out lasted its competition and has made a real name for itself in Berlin’s nightlife scene. SO36 has played host to numerous famous names such as, Iggy Pop, David Bowie, and The Dead Kennedys just to name a few. While they still remain hard-core punk rockers at heart they’ve also expanded their brand to include new musical genres, such as techno and electronic as well. SO36 ends the month with bang hosting a gay friendly Turkish disco called Gayhane the last Saturday of every month.
